NCMC Youth Theater is located in the San Fernando Valley at the landmark New Christ Memorial Church, home of the legendary Pastor’s Andrae and Sandra Crouch, pioneers of modern Contemporary Christian Music. The NCMC Youth Theater will serve as a creative environment for young people in this diverse community to participate and develop skills in theatrical presentations, an after school “internet cafe” study center, development of music and vocal skills, and mentoring programs for free. These services are offered to both English and Spanish speaking families in an effort to unite cultures that co-exit in this community. With a rich history of Award winning artists, musicians, and singers that have all participated in this spiritual environment that New Christ Memorial Church offers, the NCMC Youth Theater presents an opportunity for participants to learn from professionals in the theater, music, and acting communities, while fostering a strong Christian spiritual foundation.
Grammy award winners, the late Pastor Andrae Crouch and his twin sister, Pastor Sandra Crouch are seen and heard with the most iconic and popular personalities in the entertainment industry including Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, Madonna, Glady's Knight, Whitney Houston, Andrae Crouch, Stevie Wonder, Bob Dylan, Quincy Jones, Elton John, Brandy, Faith Evans, El Debarge, BeBe and CeCe Winans, Dionne Warwick, Patti LaBelle, and the list goes on. Their contribution to popular music globally not only as the founders of Contemporary Christian Music, but in all genres is uniquely recognized in the signature sound heard on hits like “Man In The Mirror”, “Like A Prayer”, “Heal The World”, Whitney Houston HBO South Africa, “The Earth Song” just to name a few. Coupled with the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and a ministry aimed at the youth, the NCMC Youth Theater will become a household name in our community, as we continue to lead thousands of young people to Christ. Your donations will allow us to complete the vision for the NCMC Youth Theater! New Christ Memorial Church supports scholarships for our youth to attend college after High School and many of our young adults have gone on to become Doctors, Lawyers, and Professionals in the Entertainment Industry.
